Vic Cracknell starting playing drums when he was 15 years old before turning to vocals, piano and guitar later on. Since turning professional in 2005 Vic has played over 250 gigs either solo, duo, with his band "Something 4 The Weekend" or with his very popular "Vic's Buskers" Open Mic nights. Whilst writing his own songs Vic is better known for his acoustic interpretation of songs by artists as diverse as Elton John, David Gray, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Coldplay, James Taylor, Oasis and Billy Joel. In most of his shows he puts in an element of authentic rock'n'roll piano in the style of Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis. "I love many styles of music but in the end it comes down to the quality of the song that is performed." says Vic. "I believe in good lyrics and a melody that is memorable. I often get people singing along at my gigs and I like to get the audience involved as it is more interesting for them. I also like to talk about the songs and the artists that have inspired me."

Vic is running the acoustic stage at Weyfest and has helped pull together some of the most talented acoustic performers in the area including a number of emerging singer songwriters. "I am pleased to be involved with Weyfest and am looking forward to hearing and seeing the many talented performers who will be playing" said Vic. Vic's Buskers Open Mic nights take place regularly in Farnham, Guildford, Fleet and Haslemere. This is an opportunity for performers to play to a supportive and friendly audience. If you are interested in playing at one of these nights there is more information at www.viccracknell.co.uk or contact Vic on 07917 403052.

As an instrumental acoustic guitarist, Jim Kelleher composes and performs exciting, melodic and accessible music, drawing upon a diverse range of influence and style.

"Born and bred in Wimbledon, I've been playing the electric guitar professionally for over twenty years. Having performed in a wide variety of bands, I'm able to turn my hand to most styles of music. I still play electric guitar with professional function bands, but in recent years have specialised in solo instrumental performance on acoustic and classical guitars. Amongst those to blame for my crossing to the acoustic side is Tommy Emmanuel. I vividly recall the first time I saw him in concert. I was left almost speechless by his immense musicality and effortless sense of groove. Musically speaking, that night changed my life. Since then, I've explored the music of a great many acoustic instrumentalists and willingly allowed myself to be influenced by them. Hopefully, to good effect!

I regularly perform at weddings, corporate events, restaurants and bars, providing complementary instrumental music. My repertoire consists of contemporary and Celtic acoustic pieces, popular classical standards and a selection of original tunes. I also perform regularly as an accompanist for a number of vocalists."

So I'm Susie Clarke, I come from Guildford in Surrey. I am English, quite Scottish and just a little bit French.
I play guitar a bit like a child and sing words from my heart, it's all I can do.

Press article:

"It was a game of two halves at the Electric Theatre on Saturday as Rubber Soul and Susie Clarke came to town for Guildford's International Music Festival. Those who normally skip the support act would have missed out here as Susie Clarke and her band were undoubtedly the real stars of the night.

Fast becoming a familiar presence on the local music scene, her short acoustic set was a triumph of raw talent, stripped to the basics with just guitar and cajon for accompaniment. Her unassuming demeanor belied the sophistication of her soulful, powerhouse vocals with a husky edge, reminiscent of Sharleen Spiterri from Texas.

The voice worked its magic on some well chosen classics from Ain't No Sunshine and Nina Simone's Feeling Good and inspired takes on more recent material from Gnarls Barclay and club anthem Boogie 2nite, which showcased her vocal versatility.

While real success will hinge on the strength of her own original material, this was a rare example of a covers set sounding credible and poignant and had the audience gripped from start to finish."

Growing more and more centred as a solo artist, I'm building up a steady fan base in the South London area. I'm playing weekly bar/pub slots, local gig venues and festival support slots at the moment, but looking for many more bookings. I'll play anywhere, to anyone who fancies listening!

"Stunning singer and songwriter whose haunting vocal style is reminiscent of the great Jeff Buckley..." - Susie Clarke
