Stewarding at Weyfest
Firstly, our thanks go the excellent and hard working Stewarding Team who helped make Weyfest 2010 such a great success. Many of our stewards have been with us from the early days and we look forward to seeing you again this year, along with, we hope, many new faces - the more the merrier!
We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible stewards to work with us at Weyfest to keep the event running smoothly and help us deliver a safe, comfortable and stress-free music festival.
Each steward will work a minimum of 3 x 5hr shifts and in return will receive free festival entry to enjoy many hours of live music on three stages....plus free camping, a hot meal and hot and cold drinks for each shift you work plus a Festival T-shirt and a programme.
FRIDAY 2nd September 2011
Shift 1 - 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm
Shift 2 - 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm
Shift 3 - 7.00 pm to 12.00 am
SATURDAY 3rd September 2011
Shift 1 - 9.30 am to 2.30 pm
Shift 2 - 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm
Shift 3 - 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm
Shift 4 - 8.00 pm to 1.00 am
SUNDAY 4th September 2011
Shift 1 - 9.30 am to 2.30 pm
Shift 2 - 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm
Shift 3 - 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm
Shift 4 - 8.00 pm to 1.00 am
Monday 5th September
Shift 1 - 9.00 am to 1.00 pm
Your shifts will be allotted to you on a first come first served basis - we will do our best to accommodate your preferences wherever possible, but this cannot always be guaranteed.
All Stewards must report to the festival site 1 hour before the start of their first shift in order to receive a briefing and their festival pass. This does not form part of the shift.
You will need to send us a deposit: Why?
To discourage failure to turn up for your three shifts you will need to send us a cheque for £50 which we will not bank unless you fail to arrive at the agreed time for your shifts. Once your shifts are complete your deposit cheque will be destroyed. Your cheque must include the account holders address and cheque guarantee number on the back. In the event that your application is not successful you will be notified and your cheque will be destroyed.
You must be aged 16 + and willing to get on with the job regardless of whether it is boring, hard work or dirty! (but no toilet cleaning).
